Absolutely!!

There is no advantage of using solaris on the desktop/workstation.
It is proprietary, in that respect no better than windows; the CDE
interface is horrible (far worse than windows) and the command line,
although slightly better than MS-DOS, is worse than linux because
it doesn't have GNU.
