Hi,
  I am using clamav for last 2 years. It is free and good. If you buy
  any anti virus tool for sendmail it will cost lot of money. They
  may charge depend on the number of users etc.

  One way to do is
  MailScanner + Antivirus (Clamav or any other) + Sendmail
  
  MailScanner comes with spamassassin. 

  You don't need to change any sendmail configuration. MailScanner 
  works as wrapper around sendmail. 

  Other approach is with amavisd + sendmail + virusscanner
