[Ilugc] IP Address issue

 Hello all,
 
 I have installed Fedora core 2 in my box, I have configured all the ethernet settings properly, but when the network starts, it says the IP address is already in use when the cabel is plugged. when I unplug and restart the  network the problem doesn't happen and then, i can plug in the network cable  and can be able to connect to the network. 
 
 How can I overcome this problem? Any Ideas?
