I just tried using checkinstall. Actually it builds an
rpm using 'rpm-build' and install the rpm using ' rpm
-i' and updates in rpm package management.
If I install php with gd support, the packages like
gd, libpng,linjpeg.. to be installed before php
installation.Am I correct?
So how do I precheck whether the above packages are
'rpm -qa' , 'dpkg -l' are for binary packages only,
If the packages were installed using source, then how
do I know that? I don't want to install it again.
