Are you trying to migrate from woody -> sarge ? Or, wish to upgrade
just your kernel 2.4 -> 2.8 ? If you meant case (1), i recommend you
to configure /etc/apt/source.list and run 'sudo apt-get dist-upgrade'.
If you meant case (2), confirm 2.6.8 is installed by checking
/lib/modules/. If boot loader resides in the same dir, it would have
got updated automatically. If not, you must edit your boot loader conf
file accordingly and re-install your boot loader.
