[Ilugc] AIRTEL USB modem configuration

Hello all,
I have airtel DSL connection and a USB modem (Beetel 100CX). The person who
installed the modem said that it has no drivers for Linux. But i found this
eciadsl website. I downloaded the driver for slackware(10.2, i patched the
kernel to 2.6). I also got the article which described how to configure the
driver, i tried it and executed all the steps. But when i tried to start the
modem, it didn't do so and it exit. It chose a synch file(synch02) and
didn't give any errors till then. I want to configure internet in Linux
badly. Does anyone here have the same modem and have configured the driver,
can you please help me with it? I am open to any sugestions and advises.
