thrice. If you harbour doubts about mails reaching the list:

[1] Visit your mail preferences page and set "Receive acknowlegement 
mail when you send mail to the list?" option to yes.**  You will then 
receive acknowledgements and you will know for sure that your post has 
reached the list.

[2] If you still have doubts, visit the archives and check if your post 
is listed.

It looks like you have a new gmail account, and fyi, gmail does not seem 
to bother you by sending your own posts to lists back to you.  I think, 
it is not possible to make changes to the filter for now at gmail.
