[Ilugc] suse9.2 + smartlink modem. -> hang

dear  ones,

I use suse 9.2. I have a smartlink internal modem.
The driver given with CD was wrong.
So, I got the correct driver form the manufacturer's site.
Now, I am able to connect with internet.
But, always, connected with net, after 4 or 5 minutes,
my box gets hanged. I tried a lot of times.
same hanging problem occurs.
I look tail -f /var/log/messages.
But, there is no message for hang.

plz help me.
