1. Do not re-use threads to post your questions. You need to start a
new one if the question you intend to ask is not related to the
current thread.

2. There are lot's of tools for GUI programming. You might like to
look at pyGtk or py-Qt . Those are the best places to start off.
Google for them.

Py-GTk/Qt is python based, you will also find bindings for other
languages. If you are a C programmer, then this site would be a good
starting point.
