It is not going to be a translation to native language. Making of a magazine
in native language.
One of our friend Kapilan, suggested a classic difference between
Translation and Original making.
The word "Water Falls".. How do you translate? Neer Veezchi? This is
translation. What is the originality ? It is "Aruvi"
I think we have enough topic to be covered independently in a native
language magazine alone. These are specific to Tamil alone. Let me site very
basic few...
1) Keyboard Layouts
2) Encoding
3) Translator Tools - KBabel etc.,
4) Fonts
5) Input methods - SCIM etc.,
These are just to begin.. We have all these to cover.. How come these things
be covered in a English Magazine...
Well interested few can indeed start English Magazine.. And the technology
used for making magazine can be made common....
But Tamil Magazine should not be a translated version of that... It has to
deal with Tamil specific technical/ non-technical issues... Lot of issues
are there.. I have already cited few...
