Checking out with the HP website for Printer Product Overview, the
product is said to be compatible with Win and Mac. This is the reason
your printer is said to be working with Win (availability of driver
support in the corresponding web site).

http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/store_access.do?template_type=product_detail&product_code=C9079A%23B1H&jumpid=oc_R1002_USENC-001_HP%20Deskjet%20D2360%20Printer&lang=en&cc=us

But, am afraid it was the same for printers which I had worked with
GNU/Linux.

Even my now obsolete 3325 Deskjet doesn't have GNU/Linux driver support
in the HP web site, but I have no problem in using it in both my Laptop
(Ubunty Dapper/Edgy) as well as my home system, FC4 and Kubuntu.

You can try with some generic drivers or the closest HP driver available
in your system. I have run printers satisfactorily with generic drivers,
especially those printers from TVS. So, HP shouldn't be a problem.
