This might be of some interest for people who arent fortunate enough to
run debian ;P
The script does a similar job like the one above..

It downloads all the packages from the E17 CVS. The script wont work
unless you have automake1.9 (no..not 1.10) and autoconf 2.60..Skip the
package called etk_server since it freezes when compiling..
Oh and theres a distribution called elive which is essentially etch with
E17 as the default desktop instead of GNOME, it uses etch repositories
for the packages..Its a worth a try too
