That's usually the right expectation. Here is what is unique in this 
situation

* Mozilla suite was default in Fedora sometime back.
* Mozilla suite was abandoned by Mozilla corp at that time in favor of 
Firefox. No community had taken leadership of the project as it did with 
seamonkey later on.

Providing a update path from (abandoned) Mozilla suite to Firefox seemed 
the reasonable path if you don't want to leave the old browser with 
security issues in the system during upgrades.

When Seamonkey effort was started it was introduced into the repository 
again. Firefox is default now but seamonkey is provided as a alternative.
