Well good point you have raised here and this is not first time I am
seeing such a frivolous excuses are given by guys in this country.
On one hand organizers claim that they are trying to build a
*national* conference and on the other hand they are giving stupid
reasons for not selecting a logo. First the left hand was
*inauspicious* because it is used to clean the bottom. Now the right
hand has issues because it remotely resembles some political party.
Man is there an end to such kiddish skepticism ?

Moreover, it makes me wonder is it worth doing any hard work for any
lug or FOSS group ? Even if you do good work, some idiot will come and
throw water over it, citing some superstition.
I dont know when FOSS guys will start looking at the unfortunate
state of things we are heading towards.
