Eh ? Does the Shelfari's spamming any way similar to Janani's post,
which IMHO was a journalist trying to get the views from the people in
this list (as well as many other LUG lists in India). It was just a
single post requesting for people who are interested, to reply.
Remember we also get multiple post on things when it could have been
put in brief in a single mail, aren't they as bad as a troll ?
And am not sure the Sriram:M$ thread you are mentioning was a series
of arguments and counter arguments or a troll.
Anyway, I did the same mistake with Shelfari too but rather used a
separate mail id. But still, it sends mail to every one in your
contact list even when you unselect them and ask it not to send mails
to them. My personal experience thought me at some point one might
also think something to be genuine and fall prey to it, but at least
make sure you use a mail id that you do not use for mailing lists (or
donot have your mailing list email id in the contact list of the mail
id you use for such things).
