[Ilugc] perl script like minicom to commuincate with the serial port devices

My requirement of using perl expect I want to communicate through
minicom.In which am able to login , when i execute the commands it is not
wriiting into the file in the required format , it mostly writes in the
binary format. Can anyone tell that is there a way / module in perl
which is used
like minicom and commuincate with the serial port devices.
can anyone help in this regard.
