[Ilugc] How to Record Desktop with various zoom effects?

Friends.

I want to create screencasts using linux.

I use recordmydesktop.

but, it records the entire screen.

I want to zoom some portions of the screen when required.

For example, see the screencast of "Seek" plugin for thunderbird here,

How to record screen like that?
