[Ilugc] could not launch application - failed toexecute child process

Hi all
The simplest solution which was elusive all these days is as follows:
"right click the mouse button on the quick launch browser application icon  so as to get the launcher properties wizard( F.F.3.0 ) wherein enter into the command menu box, the absolute path of firefox self executable file  regardless of location".
(e.g.)  "/home/usr/firefox/firefox"  or  "/mozilla/firefox/firefox"

Are you able to download the same web pages using wget?
If wget also fails, then try disabling tcp window scaling on your box.
As root, run:
    sysctl -w net.ipv4.tcp_window_scaling = 0
