Its now working, I guess X was just taking time to startup. When I left the
latptop for sometime after startx, it came up in the second console (the
normal message). Do you know the file that controls as to which console
which terminal should comeup. Like now the X is coming in second tty. How
can I make it come in the 7th console and make the second console back to
the messages console.
