Not really.  man only provides a brief explanation of
commands/function-calls/etc while info provides
supplemental information which go far beyond man pages.

Eg. "man gcc" and "info gcc"


To OP:
pinfo is a friendly replacement to info.  Uses a lynx
style interface instead of Emacs style.
