Did you try using a live CD ? You get a browser without having to
I dont understand the basic problem. I have installed Linux (Suse,
Slackware, Ubuntu ) many times in places where there are no Internet
access. Maybe, we wont get the extra repositories. But the basic system
will install and work.
In our eagerness to show the power of Linux we make the one big blunder
which one should avoid at all cost. Take a backup first. And, if it is
just to show how Linux works, start with a live CD.
This is a lesson for all of us.
