[Ilugc] File copy - file manager with split pane

I am not sure I got your question correctly,  However I use to press CTRL +
T for  a  new tab and switch back and forth with ALT +1,2,3.....

CTRL + C & CTRL + V work for me.  I hope this is what you asked.
