Prior to becoming an associate professor at IIT Madras in June 2010, I was appointed as assistant professor in the same department in the year 2006. Before 2006, I worked as wissenschaftlich mitarbeiter (visiting scholar) in the dynamics group of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Hagedorn at TU-Darmstadt in Germany. I have received BTech, MTech, and PhD degrees all in Aerospace Engineering from Indian Institutes of Technology Bombay, Kanpur and Bombay, respectively. The flight mechanics and control group at IIT Madras led by me is involved in carrying out various state-of-the-art research activities in flight dynamics.
